Hood Warfare 2 Game Modes

Six modes ship on the Steam page. The names do not all explain the win. Destroy The Block is one life. Chain Snatch still needs the pickup after the kill. Use the picker, then read the mode you are about to queue.

What should you play first?

  1. 01Destroy The BlockBomb round, one life.
  2. 02Hit A LickTwo bags. Steal theirs, keep yours.
  3. 03Chain SnatchKills do not score until the chain is taken.

The full mode list stays below. This only changes which three to read first.

Gang vs gang

Turf War

How you score
Points for the territory your gang holds. Push the other team off theirs.
Lives
The store page does not call this one-life.
First drill
Stay on a point long enough to see why a kill streak can still lose the match.

Gang vs gang

How you score

Gang vs gang

Hit A Lick

How you score
Take the bag from the other hood and bring it back. Watch your own bag.
Lives
The store page does not call this one-life.
First drill
Practice the carry and the defense together. A kill that ignores the bag does not finish the mode.

Gang vs gang

Destroy The Block

How you score
One side has the bomb. Plant or defuse to win.
Lives
One life per round, per the store page.
First drill
Run it against bots before a public lobby. You do not get a second spawn to learn the plant.

Gang vs gang

Chain Snatch

How you score
Snatch chains enemies drop. Collect your teammates’ chains before the other gang does.
Lives

First drill
Get the pickup after the kill. The store says the kill is only half the job.

Bots, for a beginner match

The store says you can play online with friends and other players, or set up a match against bots. You choose the map, the mode, and the match settings, then add bots to fill the teams. That is the beginner path when a public lobby is a bad classroom.

Run Destroy The Block once so the one-life rule is obvious. Run Hit A Lick once so you see the bag. The store does not say a bot match counts toward reputation, challenges, or skins.

Then play with friends

Maps named so far

No callouts. The store names four places. Patch 1.0.10 adds a fifth by example. Layouts are not drawn because they were not published.
